How should you imagine our smile makeover program?
This is a complex process that involves a very thorough and accurate assessment of your needs. Any information or photos that help you tell us what kind of smile you want will help the doctor with the design. After that, depending on which of our smile design packages you choose, the following steps will follow:
- Making a series of photos of your current smile with your face
- Taking a digital impression of your teeth
- Digital smile design, with which we design a smile that matches your facial features. On the completed digital design, you will see the new smile that will be created for your face. We discuss any possible modifications with the doctor. We will modify the design until our patients are 100% satisfied with it.
- This is followed by the creation and analysis of so-called trial veneers together with the patient, on their own teeth. The trial shells are made of wax by the dental technician.
- If necessary, fine dental adjustments are made before the start of treatment (e.g. bite adjustment, etc.)
- Dental preparations. Trials are performed with the 100% involvement of the patient, in some cases the dental technician is also present.
- Finalization of a new smile in case of complete satisfaction
- Control.

If an aesthetic solution is required for a tooth, a porcelain veneer can also be made. However, if the goal is to create a complete smile, it is necessary to examine how many teeth are visible in a wide smile, and in this case, it may be necessary to make 4 or even 10 veneers per jaw. In each case, we discuss the patient’s needs and characteristics individually.
Three appointments are usually required to prepare the porcelain veneers. The first appointment is for planning, followed by the second appointment for preparing the visible, front surface of the tooth. During preparation, 0.5-1 mm is removed from the tooth. After preparation, impressions are taken. Smile design is done digitally in the laboratory. The second appointment is for trying on the finished veneers, where you can check the result and request any changes. Finally, we try on the finished custom porcelain veneers again, show them to you, and if you are 100% satisfied with the result, we proceed with the final bonding. We make a night guard to protect the veneers. During the treatment, we make temporary veneers so that you can go anywhere and not miss work. For many people, a successful aesthetic result means regaining their self-confidence.
Yes, as with any medical procedure, there are contraindications to porcelain veneers. The most common of these is an improper bite (e.g., deep bite), which increases the risk of the veneers breaking. Of course, during the initial consultation and examination, our specialist will tell you whether porcelain veneers are a safe solution for you, and if not, we will recommend several other excellent options for you to choose from.
The color of Straumann Nice porcelain veneers does NOT change over the years, meaning they retain their original beautiful white color. You don’t have to worry about coffee or cigarettes discoloring them. They should be cleaned and cared for in the same way as your own teeth. In general, porcelain veneers require careful handling; for example, you should avoid biting into hard apples with them.
The fee for the initial consultation is 9,900 HUF, and a digital panoramic X-ray must also be taken at this time, which costs 6,500 HUF. If treatment is started, these fees will be credited in full upon payment.
